There are over one million Canadians over the age of 50 living with asthma.

Older adults face unique challenges in managing asthma, and often disproportionately bear the burden of asthma. Some of the common challenges include misdiagnosis and under-treatment, confounding co-morbidities, severe asthma  and accessibility barriers.

On Friday, December 6 at 1 PM EDT, Asthma Canada will be hosting a Webinar on Living Well with Asthma as an Older Adult.

This webinar is tailored towards older adults who have had asthma all their lives, or have been diagnosed with adult onset asthma later in life, and caregivers of older adults with asthma.

What you’ll take away:

  • How to manage asthma in older adults with co-morbidities?
  • Uses and safety information on common asthma medications.
  • What are the principles of self-advocacy for older adults with asthma?
  • What approaches could lead to better health outcomes?
  • What are some take-home tips and advice?

Our webinar will include a Question & Answer session with the guest speakers, giving you the opportunity to ask pressing questions to two of Canada’s leading experts. Don’t miss out!
