Asthma Canada is calling on the asthma community to help shape the direction of asthma-related research as part of its 2022-2024 Strategic Plan. With a mission to support Canadians living with asthma through education, advocacy, and research, Asthma Canada is actively working to expand its research efforts and is seeking valuable input from stakeholders to set the right priorities.
The organization is inviting individuals living with asthma, caregivers, health professionals, researchers, and anyone with an interest in asthma and lung health to share their top concerns and questions through a public survey. The feedback gathered will help guide Asthma Canada’s research initiatives, ensuring they align with the needs of the asthma community.
“The insights from this survey will help us focus on the areas that matter most to our stakeholders,” said Jeff Beach, a representative from Asthma Canada. “By gathering input from people directly affected by asthma, we can ensure that our research has a meaningful impact on improving the quality of life for those living with this condition.”
The survey is open to all members of the Canadian asthma community, including:
- Individuals with asthma
- Family members and caregivers
- Health professionals and practitioners
- Researchers and research trainees
- Industry representatives and others interested in lung health
Those with questions are encouraged to contact Jeff Beach at jbeach@asthma.ca.
Asthma Canada urges community members to take part, as their voices are crucial in shaping the future of asthma research in Canada.
