At the World Health Organization’s 78th World He At the World Health Organization’s 78th World Health Assembly, member states officially adopted a ground-breaking resolution to improve lung health worldwide. This marks the first comprehensive global commitment to addressing the full range of respiratory diseases, including asthma, while tackling major contributing factors like air pollution, climate change, and the tobacco industry. Asthma Canada is proud to have joined our global partners through the Global Allergy & Airways Patient Platform (GAAPP), and our national partners through the National Lung Health Alliance (NHLA) in Canada, in advocating for this vital step forward. This is a major victory for millions of people around the world living with lung disease. The resolution calls on countries to develop national lung health strategies, improve primary care, expand access to treatment and diagnostics, and invest in prevention efforts. #Asthma #LungHealth @who @gaapporg
