Asthma Canada Board Chair, Vibhas Bapat and Presid Asthma Canada Board Chair, Vibhas Bapat and President & CEO, Jeffrey Beach were pleased to visit the constituency office of MPP Jonathan Tsao (Don Valley North) today. MPP Tsao shared his commitment to the health of his constituents and individuals across Ontario living with asthma, and his support of our advocacy efforts to improve asthma care. Asthma remains one of the leading causes of emergency department visits and hospitalizations in Ontario, despite the fact that it can be effectively managed with the right care and support. Investing in certified respiratory educators through programs like Asthma Canada’s Asthma & Allergy HelpLine and within primary care settings is a practical, evidence based solution. We continue to call on the Government of Ontario to dedicate sustainable funding to ensure people living with asthma receive the education and support they need to stay well.
