More than 4.8 million people in Canada live with asthma and attacks can happen suddenly—becoming life-threatening without the right response.
Recognizing the signs of an asthma attack and responding quickly could save a life!
Throughout Asthma Awareness Month (May), Asthma Canada and our partners are helping people across Canada recognize the signs of an asthma attack and know what to do when every second counts.
*Donations made during May are matched dollar for dollar (up to $25,000) thanks to Bruce Power.

WHY THIS MATTERS
Asthma attacks are unpredictable—and often underestimated.
In Canada:
- 4.8 million people are living with asthma
- Each year, 80,000 visits are made to emergency rooms because of asthma attacks
- Each year, more than 300 families lose a loved one because of asthma attacks, with many of these deaths being preventable
An asthma attack can escalate in minutes.
But when people know what to look for, and what to do, they can respond quickly and with confidence.
Your support helps make that possible.
Help prevent asthma attacks across Canada
