In Canada:
- 4.8 million people are living with asthma
- Each year, 80,000 visits are made to emergency rooms because of asthma attacks
- Each year, more than 300 families lose a loved one because of asthma attacks, with many of these deaths being preventable
An asthma attack can escalate in minutes.
But when people know what to look for, and what to do, they can respond quickly and with confidence.
