Today on Global Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Today on Global Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps (CRSwNP) Awareness Day, we’re sharing Renay Lambert’s story of living with both asthma and CRSwNP. Renay, from Ontario, is one of many people in Canada navigating these two connected conditions. Living with CRSwNP and asthma has had a profound impact on her daily life, from sleepless nights to missing out on time with family and friends. For many years, her symptoms were difficult to control. That changed when she was introduced to a biologic treatment, which helped shrink her nasal polyps and improve her breathing. In her words: “For the first time, I was living instead of just being.” CRSwNP affects an estimated 4% of the population. Among those living with CRSwNP, research suggests that roughly 20–80% also have asthma. These conditions are linked by the same underlying airway inflammation, which is why managing one often means addressing the other.
