For many, the road to lung health is blocked by in For many, the road to lung health is blocked by inequality. Globally, women from disadvantaged or marginalized groups often have less access to healthcare services. This gap is a significant threat to lung health. It means delayed diagnoses for conditions like asthma and COPD, limited access to necessary medications and oxygen therapy, and a greater burden of preventable lung illnesses. The @who report on the Social Determinants of Health shows us that gender, poverty, and social status are not just abstract concepts—they directly determine who gets to breathe freely and who doesn't. It's time to rewrite this story. We must champion policies that ensure equitable healthcare for every person, everywhere. ✅ Learn more about the report and how you can take action at gaapp.org/lung. Follow @gaapporg on Instagram for more on lung health. 🫁 #WorldLungDay #ItsTimeToRewriteThisStory #SocialDeterminantsofHealth #LungsDontDiscriminate #HealthEquity #WomensHealth #SocialMinorities
