With a valid prescription, patients are now eligible for reimbursement for one chamber size per year. Studies show that up to 80% of people use their inhaler incorrectly, and technique can worsen during an asthma exacerbation, especially when attacks happen away from home. At just 8 years old, Rudhro Prince from Ottawa tragically lost his life to an asthma attack. Rudhro’s story is a heartbreaking reminder of just how serious asthma can be. We want to say a huge thank you to the Prince family for the work they continue to do through the Rudhro Prince Hope Foundation. What they have built in Rudhro’s memory is making a real difference in raising awareness of asthma and supporting families living with asthma across Canada.
